PAFA (the Packaging and Films Association) combines the interests of the former PIFA and FPA to represent the £2 billion UK industry engaged in the development and manufacture of films and the conversion of lightweight flexible packaging and rigid sheet. The new association plays a core role in representing around 80% of the highly innovative flexibles industry in the UK and with strong European links and influence. PAFA represents a technologically-advanced industry which has seen rapid expansion and whose products are highly visible. It recognises its responsibility to educate and inform the public about its industry and products, to promote the interests of members and to work towards maintaining a firm foundation of goodwill and public understanding. PAFA also promotes the strong environmental credentials of plastic films and flexible packaging through its PACT - (Plastics for a Cleaner Tomorrow) programme.
