Polypropylene
Polypropylene is an excellent packaging polymer. It is used for transparent films and sheet as well as for trays, pots and tubs and clip or screw tops. It remains chemically inert and is a good barrier to moisture. It also provides a very high gloss finish and is resistant to folding and stress cracking.
Polypropylene is well-suited as a packaging material for products designed for use from freezer to microwave as it remains stable in the temperature range -40°C to 120°C.
